OUR MISSION:

  Austral Engineering and Software, Inc. (AES) was formed in 1994 with the mission of pursuing engineering research and development and commercialization in high technology fields. We use our extensive expertise toward applying Advanced Modeling, Design, Optimization, and Control Methods to the solution of engineering problems.  Our organization is innovative, team-centered, flexible, and effective.

OUR FOCUS:

  AES' core technological capabilities are dynamic systems modeling, system identification, systems design, controller design, simulation, optimization, and corresponding software development. AES has expertise in modern systems and controls approaches, including linear and nonlinear analysis and design methodologies.

  AES' expertise in control system design and development includes modeling from physical principles, modeling from experimentally obtained data, dynamic analysis and design using computer models and simulations, and hardware-in-the-loop control design and experimentation. This experience encompasses continuous-time, discrete-time, discrete, and hybrid systems. System theoretical insight and optimization algorithm applications are common themes in all engineering applications developed at AES.

  In addition to its theoretical capabilities, AES develops state-of-the-art numerical computation methods and algorithms and applies computational tools to engineering problems involving systems and control technology areas described above. Furthermore, AES has develops user-interactive software tools that make its numerical algorithms available to a larger audience of engineering experts.
